DongDong & LuLu Artist Residency was founded by curator Coral LuLu and artist Shen Jingdong in 2010, and in 2015 they founded DongDong & LuLu Arts Charity Project. After 6 years of directing these projects, in 2016, they founded China Association of Minority Artist Residencies, which expanded as the International Association of Ethnic Minority Artist Residencies in 2018. This organization supports global artists from ethnic minorities or with an interest in native traditions, by facilitating international art residencies in diverse cultural environments and a vibrant program of international creative exchange.
